Shortening the hair during the Umrah

It is recommended to shorten the hair during Hajj At-Tamatu after the Umrah. To shave it completely is only after Tawaf Al-Ifada.

Shortening the hair during Hajj

After the sacrifice is made, one shortens the hair, and it is Sunnah for the man to shave the hair.
Please note: Men must shorten or shave their entire head of hair (on this day, shaving the hair is clearly preferred for men). It is not enough to shorten only a part of the hair. Women should shorten the length of a fingertip from each strand of hair (whether short or long). With the shortening of the hair, the Ihram condition is now partially lifted. Everything is now permitted outside the Ihram state according to Islamic rules. Except for sexual intercourse. Only with the fulfillment of the Tawaf al Ifada is the Ihram state then completely lifted.
